Architectural Committee

The Architectural Committee reviews homeowners’ proposed exterior projects for compliance with the Blackhawk Design Guidelines.

The seven committee members review submitted applications and supporting documents through Smartwebs. An application review can be completed once at least four members agree on the decision.

How committee members are appointed

The Board of Directors appoints committee members with input from the existing committee and management.

  1. Openings are announced

    Open positions are posted on the website at least 10 days before the application deadline. An announcement is also emailed to homeowners who have an email address on file.

  2. Homeowners apply

    When applications open, the application, deadline, and submission instructions will be posted on this page. Applications are also available through management at the Amenity Center. Submit your application by the stated deadline.

  3. Applications are reviewed

    The Board, existing Architectural Committee, and management review all applications and identify candidates for interviews.

  4. Selected candidates are interviewed

    Shortlisted candidates meet in person with the Committee Chair and a management representative. Board members may also participate.

  5. The Board makes appointments

    The Board makes the final appointments, considering recommendations from the committee and management.

  6. Applicants are notified

    All applicants receive the outcome by email. The names of newly appointed members are posted on the website.
